Memories

Well, once again I am behind on blogging and can't seem to get myself motivated for the massive catch up post I need to write and post pictures! We have had a few moments in the last few weeks that I wanted to document for my own memories, so, rather than the big catch up post that needs to make its debut, I will simply write down some of my favorite memories as of late:

We decided to purchase a video monitor for Harper's room and it arrived in the mail a few weeks ago. I decided to set it up in the boys room for a little while so I can check out the mayhem that occurs in the evening times with my silly boys. We were unpacking the camera and preparing to set it up when Maddox walked in and said "Daddy, what is that?" Before Brad or I could come up with an answer for him, Maddox immediately and shockingly said "Ugg, that is in here to SPY on us!!!"
Hahaha, well, yes, Madd it certainly is....and to make sure you guys are safe and sound in your room.....how on earth did he even know what "spying" is!! Gosh, I love that kiddo!

Maddox also recently informed me that he will NOT be attending college or getting married because he is NEVER going to move away from me. Aww, sweet little man. I will remind you of this when you are eagerly preparing for your future, and attempting to leave the nest. (Or, we will have a 30 year old living in our basement...either way, I will certainly cherish the fact that at this time in his life, the love from his mommy and daddy is all that he needs!!!)

Paxton has recently started singing in the car. I love to look back at him through the rear view mirror and see his little mouth forming different sounds and singing away. Such music to my ears!

Paxton is speaking more and more everyday and can easily express his wants and desires through his verbal communication. Ahh this is such an answer to prayers. He is still a little behind verbally, but he has made HUGE progress in this past month!

We continue to attempt to prep the boys with the fact that they are going to have a baby sister in the house soon. Maddox is very excited to have a sister; Paxton on the other hand is in complete denial. Every time we mention that he is going to be a big brother or that he is going to have a sister, he simply shakes his head and whispers "no" HAHAHA. It is hilarious. Sorry buddy, like it or not she will be here no later than July 24th!!

The boys continue to bicker and argue over toys and attention; however, I get the privilege of watching them become good buddies as well. There are times when they just chase each other through the house, giggling and playing so kindly. Maddox even sits Paxton down from time to time to tell him how much he loves him. This afternoon I was the center of their argument when Maddox said "Mommy, I love you to the moon and back" then Paxton chimed in and began to argue that HE loved me by loudly saying "NO!! ME!!! Mommy. MOOOOOOOON!!!" (I think that was his way of saying, "No, I love mommy to the moon and back!!") While keeping the kiddos from arguing is NOT the highlight of my day, this particular argument certainly made my week!

March Madness

My goodness, has it really been almost a month since I posted anything on here? Sheesh. This past month has been a busy one. An awesome family trip to Cancun. Brad turned the big 3-0. Maddox had his first t-ball game. Paxton had another Staph infection. Double Ear infection. Bronchitius. Breathing treatments were had by both boys. Maddox's upper respiratory infection turned into pneumonia accompanied with a bilateral ear infection bad enough to almost burst his ear drum.  I, of course, caught the nasty upper respiratory infection but cannot take anything for it because of this beautiful little baby girl growing in my tummy. Speaking of baby,  I have had contractions galore and was officially diagnosed with a "pissy and unhappy uterus" HA. Harper is growing beautifully and her room is basically finished! Paxton turns TWO in less than twenty days and boy oh boy does that little boy give me a run for my money EVERY-SINGLE-DAY. Maddox learned to snorkel in a swimming pool without a floaty. Paxton is adding more words to his vocabulary everyday and has discovered a fondness for the word "no". (Boo). Maddox learned to ride a bike without training wheels.
Man on man, no wonder I have no energy this evening. This has been one crazy month and I promise I will post more specifics soon with pictures pictures and more pictures!!
