Paxton's Thanksgiving Program

Paxton had his first school program this week!!!! Oh my stars, I am over the moon thrilled at how well the little man did on stage. He was brave, happy, and he knew ever word and hand motion. He was wiggly and super comfortable on stage...he even spoke into the microphone and told everyone that he was thankful for "his toys". Such major improvements on his ability to cope with new situations and crowds of people.  He is maturing and growing into such a great, headstrong little boy with confidence, a sweet spirit and the fight to conquer the world!

Here is our sweet little Indian (standing, in the middle, smiling at his friend beside him).

Burr

Baby it's cold outside....but boy oh boy is it warm and toasty inside.
By far the best part of this insane arctic front, is this precious babe in her winter coat!

Friday

Friday, Maddox rocked crazy hat, crazy sock and jeans day!!!!! He's quite the stud!

Friday, we found out Paxton has pneumonia. Yuck!
Friday, these two cuties actually got along and colored together while waiting on the doctor. Success.
Friday, I made a spontaneous decision to take all three kids to a movie. By myself. It was so much fun. Awesome.
Friday, after the movie, the trio enjoyed a bedtime story with daddy!! Best part of the entire day!!! He's a great daddy!!!

God and Nation Day

Maddox preformed in his very first God and Nation program at school! Everyone kept telling us how wonderful this school production was, but, oh my mercy, we were blown away! I absolutely loved watching my little guy sing his heart out, praising our Lord and admiring the find men and women who have bravely fought for our freedoms! Such a blessing to us all!

Here are the 1st-3rd graders. Maddox is on the bottom row, 4th from the right
Maddox was thrilled when they honored all the men and women who served in the military! He was so proud to show his Papa! (When Paul joined the group who served in the Army, Maddox was beaming, nudging his buddies saying "look, that's my grandpa!")

Maddox had some of his friends!

Great job buddy!

Some of his classmates. So blessed by such a sweet group of first graders!

My sweet boys!

Ha, Harper wanted in too!!

Great job buddy! We are all so proud of you, not only for your spectacular performance and your maturity on stage, but we are also so proud of the wonderful life lessons you learned while preparing for this program!

Seriously

Seriously!?! Could she get any cuter?
This girl is happiest playing with her baby, eating cake, and coloring! Sounds like a pretty good life to me!!!
She is sassiest when asked to do anything that is not on her agenda, taking group pictures and when she feels like someone is going to take her toys!
She brings the greatest joy to all of our lives. Oh Harper Grace. We just adore you!

Halloween 2014

The kiddos had a great Halloween! We had two Vikings and Queen Elsa!
They enjoyed a super fun trunk or treat at the church followed by a visit to my granny's assisted living home! They all wore their costumes well and had a great time! (Now, here's to gradually throwing away most of their candy without being caught!!!)

Fantastic

This little boy had such a fantastic day at school!!!!!
His class (and the entire PreK) are working on a Thanksgiving program that they will preform during chapel in a few weeks. The teacher that is in charge of the entire program explained to all the kids that she would be watching for 2 kids that were listening really well and doing what they were asked to do. Well, at the end of their practice, Paxton was one of the kids that was picked to get a reward from the treasure box! (He was one out of 48)!! My heart is so full of pride for him! Such major improvements and I am so happy to watch grow and mature!!!!

Black Knights

Paxton has had such a great time playing soccer this season! He is learning more about the game and he certainly tries to keep up with the other boys! He hasn't discovered how to be aggressive or "scrappy" but he has a great time and his team is simply the best! His coach and the other dads that help out are truly amazing and they help and encourage Paxton so very much!!! Way to go Black knights! You boys were a joy to watch this fall!!!

At the end of this game, the boys were give a medal! Paxton was beyond excited to receive his very first participation medal!!!!

Oh my goodness, the joy he had after getting that medal was so adorable! He was one proud little boy!
Such a sweet team! These boys and their parents have been so much fun to be around!! Looking forward to another great soccer season in the spring!!!

Monday Prayer

Oh my sweet boys. Lunch boxes are packed, backpacks are ready and I just waved goodbye as you headed out the door for a breakfast burrito on your way to school!  I am sitting in my room praying over you both and I wanted to write it down so you both can look back and see the hand of God in both of your lives.
Maddox, my Maddox. I pray you have an amazing day today. I pray your eyes are opened to something that truly amazes you. I pray you take your time. Be diligent and do your best work. I pray when it is time to listen, that you would turn your ears and listen and learn the lessons being taught....then, when it is time to play, I pray you get out there and laugh, run, jump and play your heart out. Keep your eyes open for someone who needs a friend. You, my love, are and amazing friend and the world could use more kiddos like you! I pray you know how much you are loved. Be kind, respectful and patient. I know today holds greatness for you!
Paxton, oh Paxton. I pray for peace and calm in your heart today. Please talk with kindness and love and be patient with your teacher and fellow classmates. I pray you continue to have that zest and eagerness for life and your desire to "have a turn" but I pray you continue to learn that sometimes , it is someone else's time....but keep up that (respectful) fight....you will get your turn...and boy do I know that whatever it is, you will rock it!!! I pray you are able to laugh, play and learn so much today! I have no doubt that today holds great things for you. Be ready. Be willing. Be calm and respectful. Allow the rest of the world to see the sweet, kind and loving Paxton that we all know and love!! Make sure someone gets to hear your belly laugh today, for I am certain, it alone, can change the world!
Go get 'em boys! Prek and 1st grade are waiting and allow yourselves to be the best thing it's ever seen!!!!
