11 Months

Harper Grace, my darling little girl, you are 11 months old today. How is it possible that this time next month we will be celebrating your first birthday? You are getting so big and more and more if your personality is starting to shine through. You are a sweet, easy going, busy and into everything little girl. What exactly are you up to these days Harpoo?

-weigh 21 pounds
-wear size 3 diapers
-size 12 month clothes
-size 2 or 3 shoe
-you sleep from 7:30pm-8:30am with one long afternoon nap and a couple cat naps here and there
-drinking four 8oz bottles of Similac Sensitive formula and finger foods
-you love meat. Chicken, turkey, sausage you prefer meat over fruits and veggies
-you learned how to efficiently drink from a sippy cup with a straw and you drink at least 2 of your "bottles" from your cup.
-you recently discovered baby dolls and you LOVE them. You get so excite when you see a baby doll and you squeal with excitement as you not so gently "love" on the baby
-you are obsessed with shoes. You want to chew on any shoe left on the ground and you even attempt to find a way to chew on someone's shoe while it is on their foot. Yuck-o sister. That is nasty!
-you are crawling all over the place and are into everything. You pull up on anything and everything but you have yet to start cruising around.
-you have recently started fussing when getting your diaper changed or changing clothes my ours just too busy to be held down for that long
-you love to climb on anyone who is sitting down on the ground with you

Oh Harper, you are such a joy and a blessing to us. We love you to the moon and back!!

Pearly Whites

Baby girl has a tooth! One tiny tooth finally made an appearance without any warning from our baby girl. She did not fuss or droll or anything. Let's just hope all her teeth come to surface so quietly.

How precious is this picture of my adorable Granny and Harpoo.

Just a Swinging

I really enjoy capturing images of our kiddos doing the same things around the same age and observing their similarities and differences. It is fun to look back at the boys and see how much their personalities are the same even from when they were babies. This weekend we tried Harper Grace in the outdoor swing for the first time. She loved it. She would squeal with delight with every push. She loved it so much that she got very relaxed and fell asleep for about 30 minutes. Ha. That would have NEVER happened with the boys. Maddox loved swinging and would squeal with delight and say "weeeee" with every single push. In fact, Maddox called a swing a "wee" until he was about 2 years old. Paxton loved swinging as well; however, in true Paxton form, it took him a while to warm up to swinging and would hold on to the rope handles for dear life.

Here is Maddox at 15 months old

Here is Mr. Paxton at 11 months old

Here is Harper Grace at 10.5 months old
I never realized how much smaller she was from Paxton. She looks tiny here compared to him at nearly the same age

Look at those chubby thighs. I could just eat them up!!!

Buy Her a Pony

Harper Grace likes the computer cord. She likes to chew on said computer cord. Harper Grace gets told "No, No.. do not put that computer cord in your mouth" and this is the reaction I receive in return:

It is the saddest, most heart breaking, crocodile tear and lip stuck out so far a bird could land on it cry that at first just makes me giggle at the over dramatic take from our precious little girl and then my emotions quickly change to "oh my mercy, please help this poor innocent soul. Make it better. Let's hug her tight and buy her a pony or something" (yes, I am aware that we are in big trouble with this one..ha)

Well, it looks as though her big brothers have come to her rescue and they found her a pony. Whew, thank goodness, that pouty lip was really starting to get to me.

It looks like the boys are having a wonderful time at the farm with Grandmom and Grand dad. They took them to see some baby colts at Grandmom's Aunt's house. And here we thought Harper Grace was the one being spoiled rotten. Ha. I am so thankful that the boys get this time with their grandparents. I only wish we could make it happen more often!

Getting Big

Geeze, my baby girl is getting so big. I snapped the first picture below, days after she came home from the hospital. I believe she was only 4 days hold here. She was so tiny.  Then I snapped this bottom picture today after a diaper change, as I remembered her wearing this same outfit as a newborn. It's a funny story, I texted the top picture to my friend Sarah to show her how tiny Harper looked on the changing table. Sarah laughed and sent me back a text of her Mallory wearing the exact same outfit that day. Hahah, she and I are so alike it's scary. And now, Harper Grace is as big as Mallory Grace was when Harper was born. So, when I put Harper in Mallory's outfit this afternoon, I had to capture another picture to compare how big she has gotten over the past 10.5 months.

My, oh my, slow down Harper Grace. You are getting too big too fast for this mama. I need more time with you as my itty bitty baby!!

Friendships

My lovely friend Anna was in town this week, visiting from L.A. It was such a blessing to get to see her and hang out for a little while. We meet in the 8th grade and immediately became great friends. We drifted apart our Senior year in high school and reconnected after we graduated when we finally realized how much our friendship meant to each other. She has lived in California for the last 10 years, but thankfully we have been able to keep up with each other and meet up from time to time. I am so thankful for her friendship and the love she has towards my kiddos.

She came over and hung out with the kids and I until Brad got home from work and then we enjoyed a nice grown up dinner with lots of girl talk. Then today, Harper and I picked Anna up for lunch and went for a manicure while the boys were at school. Such a fun girls day and I'm so glad Harper went with us!!!!!
Love you Anna Banana. Can't wait to see you again soon!!!

Preschool Program

Maddox had a program at school with the entire PreSchool 4 classes. It was the most adorable program I have had the joy of attending. Maddox knew every song and coordinating hand motion and he sang his songs with joy and purpose. I am so very proud of our little man and all the wonderful things he learned this year.

Hello there handsome

Just a quick chat before the show starts

Maddox had the honor of being the flag holder for his class while they said the Pledge of Allegiance

"Ho ho ho Hosana, He he he he saved me...."

Sweet sweet friends. Maddox and Brayson

Happy Mother's Day

What a glorious day to celebrate the one thing I love most about myself: being a mommy. I am so blessed that The Lord gave me three beautiful, healthy kiddos to love with all my heart.
Happy Mother's Day!!

Weekend Wrap Up

We had another wonderful weekend. Brad, of course had to work most of the day on Saturday, so the kids and I hung out at the house playing trains and riding scooters outside. Later that evening Cici came over and watched the trio allowing Brad and I the opportunity to go to dinner and to the Jake Owen/Jason Aldean concert. It was such a wonderful evening and a much needed date night. Thanks again Carol for your help with the kiddos!!!
Sunday we woke up and headed to church. It was a wonderful service and the kids had a great time. I love listening to the boys talk about what they learned during their classes. Maddox, the socialite, plays so easily and seems to soak up everything. Paxton, the observer, played with other kiddos today (for the first time at church). He is making such huge progress socially!!! And Harper Grace moved up to the "crawler" class and she did wonderfully. She seems to be very sensitive to others emotions (or completely freaked out by them) because the only time she gets upset is when another baby starts crying.
This afternoon and evening was spent outside enjoying the beautiful weather!! Such a wonderful start to the week!!!

10 Months Old

Harper Grace turned 10 months old on April 29th. Time is going way to quickly and I am now in the process of making sure I pick a date for her 1st birthday party. What!?! How is it possible that I now have to start planning for this little one to no longer be a itty bitty baby, but to be my big one year old. Nope. I just can't go there yet. I want to bottle her up and soak up every second of her babyhood. She is just such a sweet, calm, easy going, joyful baby girl.
What are you up to at 10 months old Harper Grace??
-wearing size 9-12 month clothes
-size 3 diapers
-size 2 shoe
-weighing about 20 pounds
-crawling everywhere
-pulling up to standing on EVERYTHING
-ZERO teeth
-eating all finger foods (you do not like to be spoon fed, you want to do it all yourself)
-your favorite foods are little bitty pieces of meat, sweet peas, toast, pears and cheese
-you some what can drink from a sippy cup although it's not always very efficient. You prefer the sippy cups with straws
-you sleep from about 7:30pm-9am (you eat one time during the night lately because you aren't drinking very much formula during the day. You are just too busy to stop and let me feed you a bottle. I really don't mind the middle of the night/early morning feeding though because you are so precious and snuggle up with me during that time. I absolutely cherish those moments with you)
-you take a morning nap and an afternoon nap
-you say "dada" and you babble pretty often. When Maddox talks to you, you certainly try to communicate back with him. It is OH so precious.
-you like books and to be read to although it's becoming a battle because you want to eat the book rather than look at them for the most part
-you have become a fan of bath time and have started getting upset when it is time to get out of the tub

Oh my darling little girl. I pray you know how loved, adored and cherished you are by me, your daddy and your brothers. You light up our world and we are so thankful to be a part of yours! We love you baby girl.
