Polar Express

All Aboard!! Last weekend we had the privilege of going on the Polar Express. My mom does a great job at planning this adventure for us and creating amazing memories for the kiddos. (Thanks again mom for planning ahead, getting the tickets and making sure we all had a wonderful time on the Polar Express).
This year, we did not take Paxton with us. He is absolutely terrified of Santa (when he sees him he screams, starts shaking and will not stop crying....it is so sad) and Paxton is very anti-social and is not a fan of strangers; thus, a 2 hour train ride with strangers, elves and Santa would be absolutely miserable for the little man. I am hoping next year he won't be so scared and we can enjoy the train ride with him as well!!
While Paxton did not accompany us on the Polar Express, I did dress him in his Santa Pajamas and he went to Rosas's with us before the train ride, then he and Brad had a good evening just the two of them!!!

My sweet boys. Oh so cute in their precious Christmas Jammies!!

Sweet hugs!!

Before the train ride, me, Brad, Maddox, Paxton, my mom, Kameron, Mollie, and Momma Shelly (Kameron's mom) met at Rosa's for dinner together!

Waiting to get on the train. Can you tell he was excited?

Meeting the conductor!!

Finally on the train!!! Yippee

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We were blessed with a beautiful snow-fall and the boys were mesmerized at its beauty and excited to play in it. Although, I was the mean mommy that did not allow the kids to play outside (it was bitter cold and Maddox recently had pneumonia), but we spent a lot of the day looking out the window watching the beautiful snow fall. It was days like those that I realize yet again, how blessed I am to get to stay at home with the boys. We were able to enjoy the snow, without getting out in it!!

The boys love our Christmas tree and look at the ornaments daily. Paxton is just as excited to see the tree every morning. It's almost as though he forgets about it when he goes to bed or leaves the room, then when he walks back in the room he shows the same amount of excitement as he did when he first saw the tree.

This is the first year we have had outdoor Christmas lights, and I LOVE it!! Thanks again Bradley. These lights are just beautiful!!

See the pure excitement in his face.

I love this time of year. I love it even more now that I have children. I had a conversation with Maddox the other day trying to explain to him  that Santa will be visiting us several times over the Christmas Holiday. Santa will come to our house, PopPop and Nanny's house, GiGi and Papa's house and then he will wait and come again when Grandma and Grandpa come to town. (You see, Grandpa Voda sent an email to Santa about a very special Batman toy that Maddox asked for and I didn't want him to get confused if Santa didn't bring it the first time....he might wait and bring it when Grandma and Grandpa are in town, we will just have to wait and see). Maddox seemed very excited that Santa would visit him so many times. He went on to tell me, "Momma, when Santa comes to visit us, the Elf's will be left at the North Pole, but it's okay, they won't be alone. Jesus will be with them!!" Oh goodness. This child has the sweetest heart and doesn't want anyone to be left alone. I am so thankful he is grasping the concept that Jesus is always with us!!!

Decorations

Well, our house is all decorated for the Christmas season! The stockings are hung by the chimney with care! The Christmas trees give such a beautiful glow in the evening time. Maddox LOVED helping decorate this year and Paxton gets excited every time he sees the Christmas tree! I believe this season is going to be such a joy in our lives as we watch the wonder and excitement through our children's eyes. Maddox seems to have a concept of the true meaning of Christmas and he continues to ask if we will get to see Jesus with our eyes on Christmas as we celebrate His birthday. Such a sweet question if you ask me!

I got a small tree for Maddox to put in his room this year and he begged me to wait to decorate it until Aunt Kim was at the house. Luckily Aunt Kim is the greatest and she  excitedly helped the Madd-man decorate his beloved Christmas tree! Thanks Aunt Kim for loving these boys so much, they certainly adore you!!
