It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's the most wonderful time of the year! We were blessed with a beautiful snow-fall and the boys were mesmerized at its beauty and excited to play in it. Although, I was the mean mommy that did not allow the kids to play outside (it was bitter cold and Maddox recently had pneumonia), but we spent a lot of the day looking out the window watching the beautiful snow fall. It was days like those that I realize yet again, how blessed I am to get to stay at home with the boys. We were able to enjoy the snow, without getting out in it!!

The boys love our Christmas tree and look at the ornaments daily. Paxton is just as excited to see the tree every morning. It's almost as though he forgets about it when he goes to bed or leaves the room, then when he walks back in the room he shows the same amount of excitement as he did when he first saw the tree.

This is the first year we have had outdoor Christmas lights, and I LOVE it!! Thanks again Bradley. These lights are just beautiful!!

See the pure excitement in his face.

I love this time of year. I love it even more now that I have children. I had a conversation with Maddox the other day trying to explain to him  that Santa will be visiting us several times over the Christmas Holiday. Santa will come to our house, PopPop and Nanny's house, GiGi and Papa's house and then he will wait and come again when Grandma and Grandpa come to town. (You see, Grandpa Voda sent an email to Santa about a very special Batman toy that Maddox asked for and I didn't want him to get confused if Santa didn't bring it the first time....he might wait and bring it when Grandma and Grandpa are in town, we will just have to wait and see). Maddox seemed very excited that Santa would visit him so many times. He went on to tell me, "Momma, when Santa comes to visit us, the Elf's will be left at the North Pole, but it's okay, they won't be alone. Jesus will be with them!!" Oh goodness. This child has the sweetest heart and doesn't want anyone to be left alone. I am so thankful he is grasping the concept that Jesus is always with us!!!
