A Strollin Good Time

We had an incredible weekend here in the Voda house!!! Friday evening I got together with my girls (Sarah and Andrea) and we made our shirts for the Race for the Cure! We had a blast, laughed A LOT when things did not go according to our plan, decided to change things up a little, then ended up doing the shirt we had "intended" to do the entire time (I placed intended in quotations because the shirts did not turn out the way we had planned AT ALL!!! Does anyone know where you can buy iron-on paper that you can put in your printer that does not leave a white background???) The shirts turned out fine and we had a great great time making them. Ours just said "race for the cure 2008" and had our names and 08 on the back. Maddox's said "strolling for the cure" and had his name and 1/2 on the back!!! Yes, Maddox wore pink to support the cause (don't worry Brad, I won't let our son wear pink on a regular basis now)

Saturday we went to the Race for the Cure and strolled around with Maddox. It was great to be a part of something that supported such a wonderful cause. I hope that I can do more things like that with Maddox. I think it is important for him to see people helping other people, starting with his mommma! I pray to be a good influence and to teach him to have compassion for others.
We ate breakfast after the race at my favorite place: Chick-fil-A, then we watched Sarah and Andrea go crazy with scrap booking and watched the Tech Game! What a wonderful day with great friends!!!

Sunday, we went to church, ate lunch with some friends, took a LONG great nap while listening to the rain, went to a church fellowship, stopped by my dad's house for a little bit....the most amazing part of this weekend: MADDOX CRAWLED!!!! We were at my dad's house and showing them how Maddox could almost crawl and he decided to do the real deal. One knee, one arm followed by the other knee and the other arm and the entire process repeated itself! It was pretty amazing to watch (we scared him a little with all of our cheering, but what an amazing little man we have) He is growing up so fast!!
